GREEN MEDICAL BUILDING USES STRUCTURAL INSUALATED PANELS
Northerners use wall-construction panels of foam and OSB such as these stacked up at a construction site in Rockwall, but the panels are used in probably less than 10 percent of the metroplex commercial construction, according to developer Scott Asbury, (left) and architect Tyler Adams. They are building a “green” medical office building in front of Presbyterian Hospital in southern Rockwall. The structural insulated panels will reduce HVAC equipment needs and utility usage, and halve the time needed for construction.
