DALLAS —
Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC) has named Assistant Director of Ambulatory Care Kyle Cavin to the post of Assistant Administrator of Patient Services. In his new position, Cavin oversees Ambulatory Care, Patient Access, Family Services, Admissions and the Call Center. He joined the hospital staff in 2006.
“The hospital’s number one priority is to provide the highest quality care to the patients we serve,” said Robert L. Walker, President and CEO of TSRHC. “This promotion recognizes Kyle’s commitment to the hospital’s mission as well as his ability to provide support to the staff to ensure this goal is accomplished.”
Cavin graduated from Howard Payne University in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and also holds a master’s in leadership studies from Dallas Baptist University. After college, he served as Children’s Pastor at FBC Midlothian for three years before becoming Camp Administrator of Sabine Creek Ranch in Royse City. In 2011, he attained Fellow Status with the American College of Healthcare Executives, the nation’s leading professional society for healthcare leaders.
Cavin attends Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall, where he has taught and led a Life Group of young married couples for the past seven years. In 2009, he also began serving in the HomePointe ministry. He lives in Rockwall with his wife, Kelley, and their sons, Kye, 7, and Kace, 4. Kelley Cavin is a second grade teacher in the Rockwall Independent School District.
“As a family, we love playing and watching all sports and spending time outdoors,” Cavin said. “One of my greatest joys in life is to be able to coach my son’s football, basketball and baseball teams each year. I enjoy watching each child realize their full potential and have a great experience on the field or court– all with big smiles on their faces.”
His advancement comes at a time when the health care environment is changing rapidly, and the hospital is growing and changing as well.
