ROCKWALL — BOBBY G. SPURGIN
McKINNEY — Bobby Glen Spurgin, 50, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, gently passed Feb. 10, 2010, at his home in Rockwall following a courageous battle with cancer.
His strength inspired his family and friends. He is remembered for his infectious smile and laughter, his warm heart and genuineness. He was a caring and devoted husband to his wife, Barb, an incredible father to his son, Chris, and a fun loving grandfather (“POPS”) to his grangirls, Ryane and Regan Spurgin.
Bobby was preceded in death by his loving parents and his beautiful yellow Labrador retriever, Lucy, of 12 years.
He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 30 years, Barbara Spurgin of Rockwall; his son, Christopher Glen Spurgin; daughter-in-law Gail (Abbey) Spurgin and granddaughters Ryane and Regan Spurgin of Wylie; his brothers, Jackie Spurgin and wife Margaret of McKinney, Gary Spurgin and wife Donna, of Corinth, Michael Spurgin and wife Janice of McKinney; his sisters, Betty Sue Cordes and husband William (“Bill”) of Leonard, Joyce Stevens and husband Bill of Gordonville; his mother-in-law, Doris Wolfe; sisters-in-law Lesia Blassingame and Glenda Wolfe; brothers-in-law Melvin Wolfe, Jimmy Wolfe, Bruce Wolfe and Ronnie Wolfe and wife Barbara; and numerous nieces and nephews.
