Bob Gilcrease
Bob Gilcrease, 62, of Rowlett passed away Jan, 29, 2010.
He was born Nov. 28, 1947, in Wharton to William and Dorothy (Showalter) Gilcrease. Bob served in the U.S. Navy from 1966 to 1976, where he was an ace shot and made the maiden cruise on the USS JFK. A resident of Rowlett for 32 years, Bob worked for the military as a calibration technician, and as hobbies loved building remote control cars and computers. He was an avid reader and enjoyed sci-fi movies and British comedies. He was a devoted fan of the Texas Rangers and Oklahoma University football and band.
Bob is survived by his wife, Ann Maresh Gilcrease of Rowlett; a daughter: Pam Gilcrease of Dallas; brother Roger Gilcrease of Lewisville; an aunt, Janice Anderson and cousin Lisa Anderson, both of Benton, Ark.; nephews Garrett Gilcrease of Sacramento, Calif., Craig Forbes of Ridgeland, Miss., and Scott Forbes of Slidell, La. He also leaves behind his dogs, Boomer and Suzi, and cat Angel.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, sister Kay Forbes, grandparents Albert and Mozelle “Honey” Showalter and Ben and Grace Gilcrease, uncle Ray Anderson, and cousin Al Anderson.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m., Feb. 2, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rowlett Chapel with Rev. Wes Marks officiating.

Jay Hughes
Jay Richard Hughes of Heath passed away Jan. 25, 2010, in Dallas.
He was born Oct. 14, 1938, to the late Charles Lloyd Sr. and Euna Lavonia Hughes in Dallas.
Jay is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Jerry Hughes; children Toni King and husband Steve, Gretchen Partney and husband Chuck, Bryan Hughes and Todd Hughes and wife Jessa; grandchildren Matt, Melissa, Katie, Seth and Lauren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Dr. Charles L. Hughes and wife Suan; nieces Michelle Brust and Patrice Supulski; nephew Scott Hughes; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
