AUSTIN — Heath swimming standout Jacey Hodan captured gold and silver medals to lead the Lady Hawks to their 10th-place team finish at the UIL State Swimming and Diving Championships at the Jamail Texas Swim Center last weekend.
Hodan, who has garnered two silver medals in the 100 Breaststroke the last two years, made it gold this time with her time of 1:04.04, edging Frisco's Whitney Allen who clocked a second-place 1:04.45.
Prior to earning Heath's first state gold medal Hodan won the silver medal in the 200 IM with her 2:06.50 that dropped almost seven seconds off her preliminary time of 2:13.07.
